We were selected by The Rhodes Trust to advise on selection of infrastructure to support open distance learning and collaborative working for the prestigious Atlantic Fellows programme. an international programme of academic leaders collaborating to address pressing socio-economic global problems.
The distributed nature of the Atlantic Institute presented significant challenge. The choice of learning platform needed to work reliably for all potential users, regardless of location and local technology.
The project contained other technical challenges, such as identity management, group management and providing access to digital content, which meant that a robust understanding of both user and technical requirements was essential.
The review and recommendations needed to be concluded in a very short period of time, including support for procurement and recruitment of a new learning technology manager to take forward the chosen solution.
“Sero HE were brought in to help us assess the online tools needed for an new internal Hub which would bring international programs together as a virtual community. The team were reliable, helpful and innovative and allowed us to clarify the objectives we were after, and the best way to achieve them. Highly recommended!”
